Energy Companies Cancellation Fees

Your contract with your energy supplier will either be “in contract” or a “deemed” or “default” contract.

If you are in a contract with your energy supplier you are bound to honor this and it is very rare that any energy supplier will let you end it early if you are simply looking to switch.

The only time you will be aloud to terminate your energy contract early is if you are moving premesis and another business is taking over.

When your contract is due for renewal your energy supplier will send a letter with new contract details. Generally the prices they offer will be higher and you will have a specific amount of time to deal with this or your contract will roll over at the higher prices for a similar term. Also depending the energy supplier the date that the send out the letters together with the time to respond varies.

At this point you should terminate your contract with your energy supplier even if you intent to stay with them.

If you let Pink Utilities work with you we would automatically terminate your contracts and tender your business out to the major suppliers to find you the best deal. Working with Pink Utilities is free and we take the hassel of managing your utility contract for you.
